We had a great experience at El Gordo. The only thing that was better than the atmosphere was the amazing service. Our server was actually that night’s manager. He was very pleasant and really knew his stuff. The owner stopped by a couple to check on us too. It was a great evening. I recommend El Gordo if you want a great experience.
A beautiful experience indeed! We were a party of five.Paola took very good care os us. Food was delivered on time. The Margarita drink very tasty and so all the drinks even the mocktails...it has been an enjoyable evening. We will return for sure. Highly recommended.
The food was delicious. Loved their tacos! Had an entree of calamari with an orange sauce that was super good. Drank two Jarritos (one strawberry and another mango) The waiters (shoutout to Antoine and Simon) who are super attentive and kind (even the managers who I waved and said hi to!) Overall amazing and chill vibe here! Will come back with friends and even by myself at times!

Food is delicious and well presented. Mexican cuisine with its own more elaborate personality than the presentations we usually get elsewhere. Drinks look and taste delicious. The Churros are awesome. Great outdoor terrace. Nice and efficient staff.
This restaurant is located in the former Chez Lambert restaurant in the heart of Saint-Lambert. Great service from Antoine as a walk in on a busy Saturday evening. We had the tacos al pastor and the the chicken quesadilla with margaritas. Very very flavourful with good portions. Tender meat and great seasoning. Everything was explained greatly by Antoine and we want to underline how great he made the experience. We will definitely be coming back here again soon!
Charming place! Let’s be honest… We are used to Americanizing Mexican food; however, El Gordo offers authenticity with grace and respect. Food and drinks are on point. Prices are very reasonable. Service is excellent. Owners, Francis and Martin are always on deck to help and mentor and let’s not forget Antoine & Marie, so sweet and the right wings to the vision. Great initiatives and support to all staff and customer service is stellar given by all. I always look forward to going for an after work drink and bite. It is my little vacation getaway from the crazy life. Looking forward to my next visit and your new summer menu! Bravo Team!! (My price brackets are based on wine. Suitable for all groups - yes! Just be normal and reserve. Don’t expect a table of 10 on a walk in.)
